My journey so far…
I began my journey with a close friend, designer Nicole Nannetti of SS Couture, whom I pledged to work beside as her Executive Assistant. Back then, my goals were vaguely aimed at being an executive assistant to a successful and strong CEO. Knowing my strengths lay in assisting others, getting things done, and keeping everyone in check, this goal seemed fitting. After a few months, I began taking part in choosing fabrics, deciding on which sketches to bring to life, choosing models, sewing pieces, and assisting in fittings. After working my first fashion event alongside Nicole, I realized that I had gone twelve hours without thinking of food once. Which is insane because I’m hungry every four hours. This realization gave me an epiphany, if I can be this focused for this long causing food not to exist in my mind, then this is what I need to do – produce events. The next step I took in my career was moving to Chicago where I worked as freelance production assistant at Chicago Fashion Week. Since then I have worked Milwaukee Fashion Week, Miami Swim Week, LA Fashion Week, and numerous other one-off fashion events. At times, I was working alone producing an entire fashion show with no staff, and at other times, I was one of the volunteers. I’ve covered all roles from registration to show calling.
Along my journey, I was asked to join the team of a Marketing & PR firm based out of Austin & Miami. I was hired as a Public Relations Assistant to that boutique firm, with teammates from all around the country. The first event I worked with them was Online News Association Conference 2018, in Austin TX. I was in charge of an entire floor of sessions, meetings, meals, and vendor spaces. Since then I’ve assisted in producing five conferences, three award shows, and a few one off client events. Working with said PR firm, I was exposed to so many new experiences and learning opportunities. Within the 18 months of employment there, I grew exponentially. I handled numerous tasks from pre-production to post-production. Everything that I was missing in the events industry with my first role was put in my hands as a PR rep.
The next milestone in the shaping of my career was getting accepted into European School of Economics’ Event Management master level course in Milan, Italy. There, I networked and learned from industry professionals in one of the most design cities in the world. I was blessed to be introduced to a woman named Olivia Azario who took me under wing and allowed me to assist in the production of her client’s events. The client was a family owned jewelry boutique, and the events were beyond exquisite. Located in one of the most prestigious cities on the coast in Italy, with some of the best food and drink you could ask for. I then relocated to the city of Faenza, to work for a company called Free Event. With Free Event I took part in every step of our client events from pitch to post-production. After a year in Italy producing events for some of the biggest brands in the world, I went back to the states and am currently residing in Milwaukee. Here I have been re-creating a name for myself in hope that I can help my clients with their events as their go-to day-of producer!
